how to teach children

1
Do crafts. Kids in this age group, especially the younger ones will love to do crafts. Be sure to emphasize this fact that they did this job, and did it well, so they can go home and say "Mommy, look what I did all by myself!"
2
For younger (3-6) kids: Be aware of friendships. Especially if it involves a new student or a clique (yes, they do happen even at a young age.), this will, most certainly, be hard for students. It is not just your job to teach social studies, but social behavior. Do not make the mistake of thinking that these are just "kid traits" or that children will, if excluding others, "grow out of it". it's up to you and their parents to teach them respect, especially at this young age.
3
For older (7-9) kids: Be aware of members of the opposite sex. I remember my first crush. I was 7 years old. Do not underestimate the body. Even though these kids may still laugh when you mention underpants, and most of them (especially the seven-years-old) have no idea what sex is, they will still discuss "who likes who" at recess. If a girl giggles every time you mention the boy who sits next to her, don't ask her any questions about why she's giggling, and don't ask her to interact too much with him. If Richard goes red every time you mention Wendy, don't embarrass him. This student you humiliate by talking about their crushes will always detest you, however petty you think the question or comment is.
4
Have patience. It is probably the most valuable trait you can have as a teacher. Only after you've repeated something 4 or 5 times should you get frustrated. have patience with low test grades. If you find yourself reaching your "boiling point" take a deep breath and slowly count to 10. Remember, you're here to help the students, not make them scared of going to school or learning.
5
Teach them fun and education by making a game. Writing and math games are some of the best ones to teach. It could be either online or paper, especially the writing games.
6
Have fun! You have this job because you love kids, so enjoy your time with them. Strive to be a teacher they'll remember in a great way!
